Folk Chair — Sculptural Comfort with a Soft Presence
The Folk Chair is a lounge-accent hybrid: it behaves like an occasional chair in footprint, but ergonomically it performs closer to a compact armchair. The defining feature is the continuous cylindrical base a fully upholstered volume that gives the piece a monolithic look while visually grounding a room.
This is not a chair meant to disappear. It is a “placement piece.” You use it in entry halls, dressing rooms, bedroom corners, walk-in wardrobes, or beside a console where a conventional armchair would feel too heavy. The low back and wraparound seat subtly cradle the sitter, encouraging relaxed posture rather than upright dining posture.
